Afternoon Tea and Breakfast at Cambridge Tea House
Afternoon Tea and Breakfast at Cambridge Tea House
After our trip to London last month, we all came when starving the afternoon tea experience. The municipality has a couple unconfined options, but in our mind, Cambridge Tea House is one of the weightier spots for a traditional afternoon tea in Columbus, so we made a reservation for the morning of Mother’s Day!
You’ll find Cambridge Tea House on Fifth Avenue in Marble Cliff. It features a nicely scheduled dining room and patio that’s both cozy and elegant without feeling too stuffy.
They full-length an all-day breakfast menu, lunch, and variegated levels of afternoon tea service.
The tea service includes Prince or Princess Tea (a kids version with sandwiches, sweets, and a beverage), the Cambridge Surf Tea (tea and scones), the Tea & Sweets (a two-tiered tray featuring tea with scones and a trio of sweets), and Afternoon Tea (the full, three-tiered tray with sandwiches, scones, and sweets plus tea).
I love the designs on their china.
And it’s nonflexible to oppose with their scones with homemade jam and clotted cream. Now, you can’t legally make true clotted surf in the U.S. (because it’s made with unpasteurized cream), but Cambridge’s version comes very close.
Their breakfast menu covers 10 items, and ranges from simple scones and a cottage cheese or salary plate to crepes, sandwiches, omelets.
The egg and cheese breakfast sandwich is made on house specie with a rosemary aioli; you can add salary or avocado.
The tea house crepes come in a quartet of sweet or savory flavors. Check out the Nutella, banana, and strawberry here.
You’ll find a trio of omelets, too. This is the bacon and cheddar omelet. It’s served with a side of toast or tea specie and fruit.
And of undertow there are all sorts of cute desserts to enjoy!
There’s a full lunch menu with sandwiches, salads, and soups. They moreover do specialty menus tied to events or holidays, plus cakes, catering, and Posh Picnics you can enjoy at home.
Cambridge Tea House is currently unshut Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Kitchen often closes at 2:30 p.m.)
